About UsProviding cycle racing opportunities - Give yourself a #RacingChance
Racing Chance Foundation is a charitable incorporated organisation (“CIO”) registered with the Charity Commission. The Foundation has been established with a view to helping promote women’s cycling in the UK, by offering training sessions and coaching from all levels from novice to elite riders, as well as promoting races. Any profits that we make will be channelled back into the events that we promote. Have a look at our Mission Statement to find out what we’re trying to achieve. The Foundation has been formed as a charity to ensure that it is transparent in its dealings, and is accountable – we have to provide our constitution, annual accounts, and Trustee statements to the Charity Commission which can be viewed on the Charity Commission’s website, as well as from our website, where they can be downloaded from our download hub. As a CIO, we don’t have directors, just Trustees who oversee the running of the Foundation. There is a need for change in women’s competitive cycling in the UK. Hopefully, the Foundation will be the catalyst and inspire many more women to achieve more than their potential.
The Racing Chance Foundation is a charity registered in England and Wales which was set up in April 2014 to provide an alternative pathway for women in competitive cycling. We focus on road-based events, providing training and racing opportunities from novice through to elite level.
We have membership opportunities available, where you can join us for £5. We will have a membership area up and running shortly, but in the meantime, as we are affiliated with British Cycling, you can join us here. Not only will you be supporting a charity dedicated to women’s cycling, but the Foundation is also affiliated to Cycling Time Trials and, as we are keen to get women into competition, we have also affiliated to the Manchester & District Ladies Cycling Association for those of you who want to have a go at time trialling but are not sure about what it is all about. So, whether you are already a member of a club or are currently riding on your own, why not sign up today? Men are welcome as much as women too!
