Colin BatchelorTrustee Profile
Colin is a Level 3 British Cycling coach, race sponsor and manager of a women’s racing team.
It is Colin’s belief that we can all achieve amazing things and we can all exceed any expectations we may impose on ourselves. For this to happen people need to feel they are being supported and valued, whilst they are learning, developing and growing, and the Racing Chance Foundation will do just that.
As a successful coach, race sponsor and team manager I know there is more to cycling success than just getting on the bike and riding. There’s a lot to learn, a lot to understand and a lot of hard work to done on that journey to success.
To achieve our goals we need a supportive environment where we can learn, feel respected and enjoy ourselves. If you’re new to cycling that can be a hard place to find. Where can you go to learn new skills? How do you go about improving and progressing? What do you do to reach your goals and achieve your dreams? And can you do that in a supportive environment?
Until now there has been no pathway to support you as you develop your skills as a bike racer, the Racing Chance Foundation exists to provide that pathway for women. From introduction to racing events, through advanced race skills sessions to racing trips to the continent the RCF provides a pathway for women to enter competitive cycling. A pathway to develop their skills, knowledge, confidence and to reach their potential as athletes. It is possible to achieve our dreams. The RCF will provide the structure to enable women to excel as competitive cyclists and to realise those dreams.
I truly believe that we can all achieve amazing things and we can all exceed any expectations we may impose on ourselves. For this to happen we all need to feel we are being supported and valued, whilst we are learning, developing and growing, the RCF will provide that support. It won’t always be an easy journey, but with the RCF women will be able to make that journey with confidence and with a smile.
