The North West Regional Championships return to the hills of the Trough of Bowland on 4 June 2016. The circuit for this year’s Championships will be Oakenclough.
This year the Championships feature a standalone women’s race for the first time ever as well as championships for senior and junior men. Due to numbers and timings, we can’t fit a standalone junior women’s championship in however the first junior woman will be awarded the Junior Women’s Champion title.
Most people think that Oakenclough is a race for the climbers, which it should be in theory. However, the results from the women’s races held on that circuit tend to defy that theory, with sprinters (some on junior gears) featuring strongly in the top five. For reference, a junior won the last women’s race on that circuit.

Details for all of the races will be found here: NW Regional Road Race Championships (we’re still waiting on the men’s junior championship going live, so bookmark the page in the meantime guys).
Closing date is 21 May 2016 and entries will be accepted after that (i.e. money will not be taken until 21 May). Entries will only be accepted from riders in the North West region).
